Hi internet friends. And hi real friends. Some of you might be both and in that case: – double hi!
Well Camp Fridgy is has been busier than Charlie Sheen’s mentor. Professionally, things have been going nicely. The kind folk at OneHD have decided to keep me for another year which is great news because I love sport, love talking about sport and even though I’m reading scripts – I’m pretty much living my life-long dream. I guess commentating sport would be a REAL dream come true but the problem is no-one would care about what I have to say. That’s fair enough, for now I’ll just read the words on the pages and hope sooner or later someone offers me Bruce McAveney’s job.
The big news is I no longer have a girlfriend! She is now my fiancée! I got engaged to my beautiful lady Veronica on the 23rd March 2011. And yes I did the traditional ‘get down on one knee’, ‘go out to dinner’, ‘organise for someone to creepily sit in the bushes and take photo’s’ etc. My brother kindly offered to take photos of the big moment and here is one of the pics straight after she said “YES!”
So it’s been an exciting week! I have a couple of gigs coming up over the next couple of months. Not doing as much comedy these days but certainly not about to give it up altogether so I’ll still be MC-ing plenty of comedy clubs in Sydney every couple of weeks. Apart from that, I need to go – I have a wedding to plan, and I’m also lazy and sick of typing.
Thanks for stopping by and please do so again soon fridgy.com-ers!
Done.
Happy February!

Even though it’s my first post of the year, I didn’t feel right about saying Happy New Year seeing we are now 32 days in to it!
Well I hope you’re all well. I’ve had a very fun and lazy start to the year. I haven’t been working too much – and I’ve certainly been lazy on the gigging front. The last gig I did was the Paddington Fringe just before New Year’s Eve with Jacques Barrett and Ray Badran and it was a corker! A great crowd who are always in a great mood that time of year. It’s been a while so I don’t remember much from the gig. All I remember was telling a guy who worked in a hostel that he probably now has chlamydia. He was English and we had just been humiliated in the Ashes. I think it was warranted. The crowd seemed to as well.
Since then the story of my life has been tennis. Watching it, playing it and now typing about it. I went to the Australian Open in Melbourne for the first time and yes, finally saw my man-crush Roger Federer. And no I didn’t cry when I saw him. I learnt first-hand from him how silly it is to cry all the time. Seeing all those great players really made me realise how horrible a tennis player I am.

For starters, a huge welcome to the festive season for 2010!
As the year starts to wind down, I thought I would reflect on some of the interesting / incredible things that have happened to me and to all of us throughout the year:
My first TV stand-up spot – easily one of the most nerve-wrecking and exciting things I’ve ever done. My live spot on One’s ‘Thursday Night Live’ went well. You can see the video to your right.
We got a new Prime Minister – ok maybe not incredible but still worth a mention. If I was responsible for writing newspaper headlines I would have gone with “It’s A Girl!” or “Tony Ab-not!” (You can probably see why I don’t get paid to write newspaper headlines.)
My brother got married – I went all the way to the United States for his wedding and his bucks party which was in Vegas. I ate so much junk food and I can see why the fast-food chain is called “In And Out Burger”. Mainly because that accurately describes the food’s journey through the body. It’s like a kebab shop calling themselves “I Dare You To Fart In The Morning…”
The Sydney Roosters lost the NRL grand final after an incredible season – after collecting the wooden spoon last season, my team made it all the way to the grand-final only to fall at the final hurdle and lose to the Dragons. Also, Nate Myles did all his poo’s in toilets this year. A great effort by both the Roosters and Nate.
I became an advertorial presenter on Channel 9’s Kerri-Anne Kennerley Show – it’s been quite a few months now and what a great experience it has been. Who would have thought wearing a Snuggie or talking about funeral insurance on national television could be so much fun. From this I have learnt that I have lots of wrinkles in my forehead when I ask questions. I have also found that getting make-up touch-ups on set feel nice. So much in fact, that I am sometimes rub make-up off my face just so the lady can come and dab me with one of those soft brushes. Be right back, I’m just going to check if I still have testicles…
I still have testicles.
Some guy with a weird name won X-Factor – Matt Newton was going to host it but instead got in to more trouble for domestic abuse. Channel 7 were going to call the show “Beat Up Your Ex – Factor” (OHHHH ZING!!!!) but instead decided to pull the plug on the guy.
Ok so that’s about all I can be bothered typing. I might post on here around Chrissy but if I get too busy (and by “busy” I mean “fat and lazy”) over the holiday period then I won’t. So I should say “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year” to all the www.fridgy.com – ers out there. Thanks for stopping by throughout the year and here’s to an even bigger and better 2011!
Done.

Geeze I’m getting lazy in my old age. I haven’t updated this blog in a few weeks 1) because of laziness and 2) I haven’t got much to write about because I haven’t been doing many gigs because yes, I’m lazy. (Even writing that last long and complicated sentence took me about 5 minutes)
I had an amazing gig at the Paddington Fringe Bar a couple of weeks ago. Such an amazing venue that place! There was a drunk girl from Lithuania in the crowd who decided to start yelling out early in the night. Dumb. It turned out she was on a first date with this poor guy and after I spent about 5 minutes accusing her of “being a mail order bride” and saying things like “well mate if she talks this much in bed you’re in for a long night… and a very annoying one” and “buddy if you don’t stick something in her mouth to shut her up, I will!” Crowd was loving it. Hi there friends,
Well I’m back in Sydney now after a trip to the USA. I went over there for my older brother’s wedding for about 10 days. Now I regularly get on my website and blog about comedy gigs and while I’m fortunate enough that almost all of my gigs have been either great, good or decent, there have a been a handful of forgettable ones.
I particularly remember speaking about a gig I had in Manly at the Boatshed over a year ago where all my friends came and I died on stage. I remember it so clearly – there was more silence than at a party with all of Matt Newton’s friends. It was horrible. I also had a similar gig at Liverpool at the Macquarie Hotel about a year ago. About 5 or 6 people in the crowd sniggered a couple of times and only applauded when I left the stage. Read more

Hey friends,
What’s been happening? How’s this weather? How cool is Masterchef? Who are you gonna vote for in the election?
Good, now that I’ve broken the ice we can get down to business. Camp Fridgy has been plugging along nicely. Had a few gigs lately which have been fun. The Fringe Bar in Paddington a couple of weeks back was fantastic. Definitely my favourite room in Sydney and Gary Eck (headliner) was great. I played the Manly Boatshed last Monday which was also terrific. A South African comic came to the gig and asked to do 5 minutes which turned out to be great. Sure I wanted to make vuvuzela sounds the whole time but I refrained. Read more

Hey there fridgy.com-erino’s!
Sorry for the delay in new blog updates. I know the masses have been demanding to know what’s happening in Fridgy’s life, have been flocking to www.fridgy.com like seagulls to a chip every morning, have spent more time on this website than people around the world have been watching the World Cup collectively – and you have all waited patiently so finally here it is. (And by “masses” I mean “one on my mates who told me at the races that he has noticed I’ve been lazy in updating my website”…) Read more

Ok so only one part of the title is true. Fingers crossed though. (TV producers who are visiting www.fridgy.com for the first time I will get a “CLICK HERE TO GIVE FRIDGY HIS OWN COMEDY / SPORT TV SHOW” link soon. In the meantime, just Email me.)
Man I was nervous about my spot on 1HD’s Thursday Night Live. In the last few years I’ve done some pretty nerve-wrecking stuff: some of these include hosting a live national radio show, performing my 3rd ever stand-up gig to over one thousand people, auditioning for TV shows in front of numerous producers having not learnt the script I was supposed to, I’ve even done a trivia gig in Mt Druitt.
