Trip to Perth!

Well well well, great to be back over in WA! Sure the weather sucked, but great fun seeing friends and family (who are all probably sick of me saying HOW MUCH the weather sucked), and doing a bunch of gigs!
The shows went fantastic – Wednesday I was the MC at the Brass Monkey. Went fantastic (well, I may have forgotten some of my material and babbled on stage about how awesome memory loss at 25 years old is!), but overall the gig was tops! There were a couple of acts from the UK – Eddie Brimson (headline) and Alan Anderson (feature) who were both great. A little hard to understand Alan as he sounded like Braveheart with a microphone, but a great comic and really nice bloke!
Next night it was on to the Charles Hotel (Comedy Lounge). A really decent sized crowd, all who who enjoyed the night (again with Alan, Eddie, and myself) as well as another UK fella Chris Kent. He was Irish (and funny). So I was the only Aussie. I felt really left out. So I ate some mushy peas and felt better.
My final gig was at Lazy Susans, at the Brisbane Hotel. Wow. Wowee. What an unbelievable night that was! Amazing crowd, who just lapped it up. You know it’s a ripper night when you have to tell the audience to stop laughing – you’re making it too easy for me!
So that’s about it! Other stories from the trip include me telling a girl to stop being jealous because all the guys were talking to her hot friend and not her. What. She deserved it. (I might have also called her a little bit ugly). I can’t remember. Again, she deserved it. Oh yeah, and my 19 year old brother pashed a 37 YEAR OLD!! Ha ha what a legend. Sure she was half passed out but it’s still a good effort. Mainly because he was as well!
This blog was long wasn’t it!? Anyways, check back soon, and have a great what’s-left-of-the-week!
Done.
