A busy week!

Howdy everyone and thanks for checking out what’s been happening this week. A lot actually! I played the Paddington Fringe (as MC) on Monday, the Oatley Hotel (MC again) on Wednesday, Cantebury Hurlstone Park RSL (feature) on Thursday and I have The Laugh Garage in Parramatta (feature) tonight! Here’s a brief summary of the shows:

Paddington Fringe – there was a great crowd there and Mick Meredith was great, as were the Nelson Twins and Chris Strickland. I tried a new song that I had written that day and I kinda forgot the words, but everyone was very forgiving and clapped politely anyways.

Oatley Hotel – tonight was the biggest crowd I’ve seen at Oatley. Easily over 100 people which was fantastic! The headliner, Gary Who was late and I thought it might have been a disaster but after I got up and did some material after the break, Sam McCool (feature – who killed by the way) and I hosted a joke competition getting people up to read out jokes to win Jimeoin tickets. It went fantastic and the crowd loved it all!!! Gary Who arrived eventually and also had a great set. A few people booed him for being late and his FIRST WORDS OF THE NIGHT (to the guy who booed) were “shut-up f**k-wit” and everyone pissed themselves laughing. Was great!!

Cantebury Hurlstone Park RSL – a MASSIVE room and a crowd which was a very decent size, but not enough to fill the huge room. They were all pretty old too! Actually, I heard one of them complained because all the comics were swearing too much. Ha ha old people. So innocent and stupid. It was fun though being on stage with a couple of my mates who I had gone to Canberra with a few weeks earlier (for “The Best Of Green Faces”) Oliver P and Matt Okine…

Anyways, this post is getting rather long-ish, so time for it to end. Now. (come back soon!)
Done.
