Happy Friday people!

Although I’m fully aware that when you read this, it may not be on a Friday. Actually, statistically it probably won’t be a Friday which means that you’re probably annoyed now as you wish it was Friday but it’s not. Friday is so cool huh. What a weird way to start the post.

Ok, so a lot is happening at the moment. It’s just 5 days until I head off to Japan for almost 3 weeks. Coincidentally, Australia are playing Japan while I’m there in a football World Cup qualifier so if Australia win and I come back with broken legs you’ll know why. A skiing accident of course. I’d never imply that the Japanese will break my legs. They’re not violent like that. They’re more likely to carve me open like a delicious piece of unagi. (“Unagi” = “eel”, that’s right – someone’s been brushing up on their Japanese.) I’ve booked some shows for Perth in March!

I love Perth and after being born there AND having just spent a year and a half in beautiful Subiaco, it’s a special place for me and I can’t wait to see all my friends and family over in gay WA. Please check the gigs (move your eyes to the right) for details.

And finally, the Australian Open is coming to a close. Federer is in the final and I hope SO bad he wins, but I fear Nadal will beat him in the final (provided Nadal wins tonight of course – which, lets’ face it, he will.) I think it’s been great to see Jelena Dokic to so well and to see the Australian public get behind this young Aussie. Although, my mate did make a good point when he said “there’s nothing more Australian than a Serbian girl representing Australia and swearing in another language when she loses the point.” Good point Madds, good point (you racist.)
