Back from Japan! *broke*

Hey guys, hope you’re all well! What an amazing 19 days I had in Japan. Obviously there are millions of stories and funny things that happened while I was there. Some I don’t want to mention as A) I’m currently trying to work them in to material and would hate to ruin the bits (as MILLIONS of people check this site every day of course ;) ) and B) I couldn’t be arsed typing lots. So here is a point form of some of my holiday observations:

• Japanese people are the most lovely people in the world. Their trains go much faster than ours and are always on time. They also bow a lot (the people not the trains).

• Clearly not that many English-speaking people reside in or around ski resorts (which is where I spent most of my time) as almost all of their English signs are wrong. I.e. on one of the days, I almost skied down an avalanche and caused a ski-run. Oh, and they have lots of vending machines full of ‘prastic bottles’. That’s not a typo. You get the point.

• A sprained thumb sucks.

• They have a jet spray in the toilet for your bum. It doesn’t make you all that wet somehow and while in Japan I became a little bit closer to turning bisexual.

• Whale over there is like teeth in Adelaide. Rare. And I don’t mean cooked rare, I mean I couldn’t find any much to my disappointment!!!!

• Their non-whale foods are still delicious.

• Tokyo is more crowded than you could ever believe. If I had a Japanese Yen for every person in Tokyo I would have like 6 Australian dollars.

• “Hai” means yes. It also sounds like our greeting “hi”. This led to many confusing yet entertaining conversations.

• I like writing about things in point-form.

• I got a great foot massage. Yes, I said FOOT. And that’s all it was. (I didn’t have enough Yen on me for the “Muscle Relieving Massage”.)

• Bathing in a Japanese Onsen is fun. Although you have to be nude. While that sounds fun also, I should inform you that men’s and women’s Onsens are separate. See, not as fun now huh.

That’s about all I can think of for now. Perth tour coming up in a couple of weeks so I can’t wait for that! Also, Sydney-ers, I’m MCing the Fringe Bar Paddington in early April. Check the gigs for details. Great to be back safe, sound and poor. Yes, our dollar sucks right now. GREAT time to go overseas Fridgy! (Idiot.)

Done.
