Aaaaall over the shop!

Hi folks!

Well old mate Fridgy has been flat out these last few weeks. I’ve been travelling to all corners of the country to perform comedy to thousands of people just like Jerry Seinfeld. Ok, almost that entire sentence was either a lie or exaggeration.

I HAVE travelled around a little lately to perform comedy. However it wasn’t exactly ALL around our fantastic country. I went to Salamander Bay last Saturday and just yesterday got back from a gig in the snow. So I didn’t even leave NSW and there were probably a total of 150 people if you combine both of those audiences. Finally, I am nothing like Jerry Seinfeld. I’m not a millionaire, my teeth are no-where near as white as his, although I DO own sneakers. I wonder why they’re called ‘sneakers’. Are they for sneaking around? Am I right!? That means by soccer boots should be called ‘kickers’. GET IT! Now THAT was something Jerry Seinfeld would say.

Here is my “latest few gigs report”:

So the Salamander Bay gig was great fun! About 2 to 2 ½ hours north of Sydney and I played to a room of about 40 forty-year-olds who were sitting in wedding-style (big round table) seating. I must admit I was a bit nervous as to how it would go, but it was going great! That is, until they served dinner in the middle of my set. That wasn’t ideal. Who would choose me over prawns and potatoes!? You get my point. Kitty Flanagan and Dave Williams also had great shows and all in all it was a fun gig!

As for the snow gig: great show, long way to drive, a drunk heckler, a Zinger burger, 2 random guys with one leg each, Steve farting the whole way back in the car, Steve making me laugh by abusing sheep on the side of the road. That basically sums up the show. Great fun! A tough-to-hold-the-attention-of and drunk (yet lovely) audience, except for one guy who wouldn’t shut up the whole time through both Steve and my sets. We didn’t really like each other. I called him a piece of shit. He slurred back at me. Good times! Again, a really great show!

Also did the new Kit and Kaboodle room in Sugarmill (in Kings Cross) which was REEEEALLY fun! Great room: I’m back there in a few weeks and can’t wait!

Ok, this post is becoming too long; my Dad (who says my posts should be short and sweet) will be thoroughly disappointed in me. But at least I managed to waste a few minutes of your time while I got you up to date with World of Fridgy.

Thanks for dropping by, please do so again soon!
Done.
