Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year!

That’s the most creative thing I could think of at this festive time of year. I think I (probably like yourself) have been permanently hung-over, full of food and exhausted for the last week and we still have New Years to come!!

Just a quick update to let you know how the gig in Burren Junction went: fantastic!

Ok fine, I’ll give you a bit more detail. One of my best mates Steve Philp and I flew up on the Friday morning with Qantaslink. Our flight left at 8:00am and my seat was 8D which was a window seat. Perhaps I’m going in to too much detail… Hmmmm, I’ll try and find a happy medium.

The gig was in a “town”, and by “town” I mean “pub” called Burren. When you walked in to the pub, basically all they had to drink was Tooheys New and Bundy Rum on tap. The gig was outside in the beer garden which isn’t all that idea for comedy, especially as all the old people sat RIGHT at the back of the beer garden. Of course, I had to give the oldies crap for doing this and I said “why are you guys all the way back there? Is there Mylanta on tap up the back??” All the young people loved this and laughed, while of course all the old people commenced hating me. Steve killed and the rest of the night is a blur.

With my very good mate Steve Philp. County gig. Should be fun. I wanna ride a dirt bike and eat watermelon.

You know what I did last summer?

Nothing really. It was just the most interesting way to start this post that I could think of.

Summer. Topical. Brilliant.

Ok, so I’ve had a quiet couple of weeks, been doing a whole bunch of voice-overs and now I’m on a Playstation TV ad, some Fox Sports TV ads, a bunch of Solo TV ads and some radio ones too! Good to be busy, but haven’t been doing that much stand-up.

Although I did a gig last week in Bondi at Mocean Bar and it was SO much fun!! It was my first headlining gig! I had a couple of close friends come see me and I always get more nervous when friends are there. It was an interesting crowd. It just seemed like they weren’t getting in to it for the other acts and there were some hecklers so I was a bit worried. I had one of those amazing sets though and all comics will know what I’m talking about when I say it was one of those gigs that reminds you why you do comedy. The crowd was fantastic and heaps of them came up after the show and congratulated me which was really nice. Then I ate ice-cream. Can you get a better night that that!?!?!?
